Italy on Film

I’ve realized this year that I haven’t been taking enough time to post personal blog posts. In general, I tend to be a very reserved person – If you follow me on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter,  I bet you’ve noticed I’m not a social media butterfly. I mostly consume (dare I say, lurk?) and on once in a blue moon, if I ever think up something I feel is clever enough to share with my little world, I post it. More and more, though, I’ve found even my occasional Facebook update or Instagram photo has become increasingly rare.

But in 2015 I’m going to work towards changing that. I think it will be a rewarding challenge to increasingly put myself out there and share some more of my life (however mundane or simple it may seem to me or anyone) with this blog. So I’ll start with some pretty photos from our most recent (and first ever!) trip to Italy.

These were all shot on a medium format film camera using a combination of Fuji 400H and Portra. Makes me want to shoot everything on film.

Loved the spectrum of color in the photos, very well done. This series reminds me of a memory instead of the harsh colors and contrast that digital sometimes have.
